Xi'an has a great variety of special food, for instance plum juice, eight treasure rice pudding, cold noodles and so on. I miss them so much.
Xi'an city is densely populated, because of the increasing number of population, the environment is getting worse and worse that lead to weather is getting changeable, summer is very hot and winter is very cold.
The tube is under construction, so traffice is really bad in Xi'an. The road always has a lot of traffic jam.
Well done Bella,
ReplyDeleteGood use of the example and photographs again. You have done very well on the blog this term and your writing is improving very quickly.
Some corrections:
“it has a lot of cultural heritage, such as city wall, bell tower, terracotta warriors which is one of the eight wonders in the world.”
When we talk about special places which are unique, we use ‘the’ before the noun. We also need to use ‘and’ with the last noun in a list.
Also, when we give extra information about the first clause in a sentence we use a comma with which.
‘has a lot of cultural heritage, such as the city wall, the bell tower and the terracotta warriors, which is one of the eight wonders in the world.’
“Although, Xi'an still have a few problems.
Xi'an city is densely populated,”
Here, you are changing from positive to negative points but you are starting a new paragraph. Don’t use ‘although’ here. Use ‘However,’ because you are starting a new sentence.
‘However, Xi'an still have a few problems. For example,
Xi'an city is densely populated,’
“The road always has a lot of traffic jam.”
There are many roads and therefore many traffic jams in general. Here we use plural nouns.
‘The roads always have a lot of traffic jams.’
