I'm upset

Last weekend, I was chatting with uncle Martin. He asked me a lot of questions, such as, What are you looking for? What is your aim? What kind of job would you want to do?
I thought about that but I'm not sure the answers. I have been here for five months, also I like here it very much and my aunts hope me live in here for a long time who said that is good choice for me. But I'm confused, I don't know what kind of life-style I would like to do. Live in here is good things for me, isn't it? Why am I spending a lot of time to study in here? Sometime the answer is negative, because here isn't my country, we have different cultures, so people definitely don't understand one another. I have to say that the world still has some racial discrimination, I'm afraid. I became rather miss my hometown.

  1. Don’t worry Bella. Lots of people spend half their lives thinking about what they want to do. Perhaps over the holidays you can think about it more with less stress. Your English has improved a lot this term. Especially your writing. Keep up the good word next term.

“I thought about that but I'm not sure the answers.”

The adjective ‘to be sure’ goes with the preposition ‘of’ or ‘about’ before an object.

‘I thought about that but I'm not sure of / about the answers.’

“I don't know what kind of life-style I would like to do.”

We ‘have’ or ‘lead’ a lifestyle.

‘I don't know what kind of life-style I would like to have / lead’.

“I became rather miss my hometown. “

When we express recent change, we use the present perfect and the verb ‘start’ is useful here.

‘I have started to rather miss my hometown.’
