In this post, i want to talk about my favorite hockey player and famous and important man in WORLD HOCKEY.His name Ilya Kovalchuk.
He was born in April 15, 1983, in small citi Kalinin.Kovalchuk started play for Russian Super League, club HC Spartak Moscow. After HC Spartak, he went to Kazan where he played for HC Ak Bars, he played there only 1 year, because he was asked to play in the U.S.A and he agreed. When he started to play in U.S.A,for team 'Atlanta Thrashers' ,there called him Russian star.In U.S.A, he met his future wife Nikol.
Great contribution he does in Team Russia, he has 3 gold medals for World Championships and 1 bronze medals in Olympic game.
He got many awards in NHL (National Hockey League)
Good choice Vlad, you obviously love the sport and that shows in your writing. It is an easy to follow life story. Well done! I like the video too.
ReplyDeleteSome points to remember
In your language there are no articles (a/an/the) so you don’t generally use them.
“He was born in April 15, 1983, in small citi Kalinin.Kovalchuk started play for Russian Super League, club HC Spartak Moscow.”
Here we would use..
‘He was born in April 15, 1983, in a small city Kalinin. Kovalchuk started play for the Russian Super League club HC Spartak Moscow.”
After the verb ‘start’ we can use ‘to+verb’ or ‘start+ ving’
So ‘started to play’ or ‘started playing’ are both correct.
